Mario Cotto

Mario Cotto graduated from Haverford in 1998. After a number of years in the Philadelphia Theatre community doing Comedy/Improv and shows with Theatre Exile, Mark Lord’s Big House, and Thaddeus Phillips’ Lucidity Suitcase.

Cotto moved to Los Angeles in 2002. In 2007, Cotto started working for Santa Monica’s 89.9 FM KCRW and for the next 13 years spent his Saturday Nights soundtracking LA denizens late night trips to and through the Underground/Leftfield Electronic scene. When not On The Air, Cotto played sets in a variety of SoCal bars, clubs, parks, backyards and festivals. Cotto played Coachella, FYF Fest and was opener for a wide range of acts including: New Order, Moby, Apparat, The Field, John Talabot, Color Me Badd, Frank Black and others.

In 2015, Mario returned to the Philadelphia Theatre Community with 2 different projects for Lucidity Suitcase, both as actor and live DJ.

Cotto relocated to Philadelphia in the Fall of 2020 and like so many people worldwide is reimagining what the next act is in a post-Covid19 landscape. Whatever it is, it needs a soundtrack.
