Buzz Spector is an artist who also writes. His installations, drawings, collages, photography, and bookworks have been been exhibited in numerous museums and galleries in the U.S. and internationally, while his essays and reviews have appeared in Artforum, Art on Paper, and New Art Examiner, among other publications. He is Dean of the College and Graduate School of Art in the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis.
Brian Dettmer is a New York-based sculptor known for his detailed and innovative sculptures with books and other forms of antiquated media. Dettmer’s work has been exhibited internationally in numerous solo and group exhibitions at galleries, museums and art centers including the Smithsonian (D.C.), Museum of Arts and Design (NY), Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art (VA), Museum of Contemporary Art (GA), Museum Rijswijh (Netherlands), Wellcome Collection (England), the Bellevue Arts Museum (WA), The Kohler Arts Center (WI), and the Illinois State Museums (IL). Laura McGrane (PhD Stanford) is Koshland Director of the John B. Hurford ’60 Center for the Arts & Humanities and Associate Professor of American and British Literature at Haverford College. She helped launch the Tri-College Digital Humanities Initiative at Bryn Mawr, Haverford, and Swarthmore Colleges and is facilitating a national symposium on The Humanities Lab in coordination with the Alliance to Advance Liberal Arts Colleges.
