In support of Archaeologies of Destruction, Mexican author and artist Eduardo Abaroa will be in residence at Haverford and Swarthmore Colleges from March 15th – March 21st, 2015. During his visit Abaroa will deliver a public talk at the exhibition opening with curator Jennifer Burris Staton, as well as visit with the courses “Visual Cultures of Mexico/Aztlan” (Christopher Fraga, Anthropology, Swarthmore), and “New(s)Media and Print Culture” (Laura McGrane, English, Haverford). In addition, he will meet with the Hurford Center’s Faculty Seminar ““Revision/How Time Passes,” led by Jill Stauffer, Assistant Professor and Director of the Peace, Justice, and Human Rights Concentration at Haverford, and meet with faculty and staff at Moore College of Art and Design in preparation for their Fall 2015 exhibition, Strange Currencies.
